MPG Stats

The Honda Accord Sedan exceeds the Chrysler 200 when it comes to fuel efficiency.

Onboard the Accord Sedan models with a continuously variable transmission, drivers will enjoy an EPA-estimated 27 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway,* while the highest fuel economy rating for the Chrysler 200 models is only 23 city mpg and 36 highway mpg.

The Accord Sedan also features available Variable Cylinder Management, which boosts fuel efficiency by shutting down one bank of engine cylinders in specific driving conditions—a feature the Chrysler 200 does not offer.

The Accord Sedan also has a larger fuel tank, featuring a 17.2-gallon tank compared with only 15.8 gallons in the Chrysler 200, which enables drivers to travel farther between fuel stops.

In addition to being more fuel efficient than the Chrysler 200, the Accord Sedan is also faster out on the road.

In tests conducted by Consumer Reports, gauging the speed of Accord Sedan and Chrysler 200 automatic models powered by their respective 4-cylinder engines, the Accord Sedan achieved 0 to 30 mph acceleration in just 3.3 seconds, with the Chrysler 200 falling behind at 3.9 seconds.
