The 2015 Honda Pilot is One of the Most Affordable SUVs
Once we tell drivers just what the MSRP of the 2015 Honda Pilot is and everything it comes equipped with at the basic LX trim level, they tend to do a double take. The Pilot’s available now at West Michigan Honda Dealers, and we think it has no trouble outdoing the competition, especially when it’s the GMC Acadia.
Honda Gives You More for Less
Since Honda revamped their standard features in the 2013 model year, few vehicles have been able to stand up, and it looks like little has changed even though they have given the competition a couple of years to catch up.
The 2015 Pilot comes equipped with Bluetooth for phone and audio, a rearview camera, a touchscreen infotainment system, Pandora radio, SMS texting, and so much more. And the 2015 Pilot 2WD LX starts at just $29,870 (MSRP).*
Not only does the Acadia need to be upgraded to have all of the standard features of the Pilot, but it costs more too. The Pilot even includes a trailer hitch as standard, letting you tow if you need it; Acadia drivers have to add on a hitch if they plan to make full use of their vehicle’s engine. The basic Acadia SLE-1 starts at $34,485, and we can’t quite tell what it is that justifies the added cost.
This isn’t the first time we’ve looked at the Pilot and the Acadia head-to-head. We recently compared the 2014 Pilot and 2014 Acadia, and it should come as little surprise that we found similar advantages for the Honda last time.
