Honda Teases 2015 Civic Type R Concept
There are drivers who love the Civic Type R and then there are those that haven’t heard of it. Hopefully you’ll be in the camp of those who love it pretty soon, as we at West Michigan Honda Dealers are excited to announce that Honda has unveiled the new model at the Geneva Motor Show.
What to Expect
Honda’s latest Civic Type R is coming to the end of its concept phase, giving drivers a preview of the newest form in a very impressive concept car version. This aggressively designed Civic takes great inspiration from the Civic race car that competes in the World Touring Car Championship.
The stand-out rear spoiler, for example, has been redesigned to generate additional downforce thanks to a new shape and angle while the front grilles have been enlarged to maximize air intake and optimize airflow.
The most important fact is the one that we are the saddest about, however: the 2015 Civic Type R will not be making its way to the United States. It is built on the Civic platform that is designed for the rest of the world.
In the meantime, though, check out the 2014 Honda Civic (pictured) and don’t forget that if you want a stunning version that embodies much of what the Type R is known for, the Civic Si is an option available to all of our West Michigan drivers.
