2017 Honda Clarity Charging

Changing constantly and adjusting to new trends is just a natural component of being a member of society. This is no different for the automobile industry. As we create vehicles with more tech-savvy features, more convenient interiors, and more powerful engines, we are also upgrading how environmentally friendly a vehicle is. Honda’s unveiling of the new 2018 Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid shows us that this shift is already taking place. Keep reading to learn more about the new Honda vehicle and what it has in store.

Electrifying Efficiency

The 2018 Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid is ready to show how capable it is of providing lengthy driving ranges without compromising the features that we value most. First things first, the Clarity is leading its class as the most fuel-efficient hybrid with an impressive all-electric range of 47 miles on a full charge.* The supporting 17 kWh battery pack is to thank for this kind of efficiency. The battery pack can also fully charge in just two and a half hours at 240 volts—making refueling easy and fast. If you have to drive on one of the other modes instead of on a fully electric system, both the all-gas and hybrid modes provide great fuel economy, too. The gasoline-only engine can get up to an EPA-estimated 44 mpg city and 40 mpg highway,* while driving in hybrid mode brings in a whopping 110 MPGe.*

Alongside this wonderful efficiency potential are great interior and exterior features that are present on the Clarity Plug-In Hybrid. A few of the available features will include 18-inch alloy wheels, full LED headlights, Honda Sensing, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto—just to name a few. With the information out about the vehicle right now, the only problem we can find is that it’s not available to the public quite yet.
