If you’re shopping for a new mid-size car around West Michigan, we know that you have quite a few choices, and that’s why we’re here today. We’re going to review both the 2015 Hyundai Sonata and the 2015 Honda Accord to give you an idea of which of these sedans might be the right choice for you as a driver.
The 2015 Sonata
Hyundai has come a long way in a short time, and we have to give the Sonata props for that alone. Each of Hyundai’s 2015 Sonata models features a set of standard features that includes 16-inch alloy wheels, Bluetooth, cruise control, air conditioning, and power accessories. It’s not quite state-of-the-art technology, but for an entry-level sedan, that’s not too bad.
And although the Sonata does have a hybrid option available, it’s just a reissue of the 2014 model rather than something fresh like the standard gas-powered Sonata. The Sonata is a big car too, and it feels like it. While some drivers may like that full-bodied feel, we’ve found it tough to manage a sedan this size without quite a bit of practice.
The 2015 Accord Sedan
Honda’s new Accord is the latest in a long line of impressive sedans, and while the Sonata has indeed come a long way, it still doesn’t hold a candle to the Accord. Honda gives drivers high-tech amenities as standard features; alongside Bluetooth HandsFreeLink for phone and audio, they include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a rearview camera, and more. All of it entry-level.
The 2015 Accord also has a hybrid version available, and it has one of the best fuel economies in its class in addition to featuring the amenities that have made the standard Accord so popular. And finally, while the Sonata is a bit large, we’ve found the Accord to be just right when it comes to size, comfortably fitting five and handling as sharply as a compact car.
Test Drive an Accord Today
We think we’ve made a pretty strong case for the 2015 Honda Accord being the superior sedan, but in the end, you really do need to see if for yourself. Visit a West Michigan Honda Dealer near you and let us put you behind the wheel of the new Accord for a test drive. We think you’ll be glad you did.
